About the Role
This role leads the full finance function for the Japan entity of a global real estate developer. You will oversee end to end finance operations, including closing, reporting under JGAAP and IFRS, tax, cash flow management, governance, and system improvement, while acting as a strategic business partner to senior management and leading a finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all finance operations for the Japan entity and manage a team of four

• Own monthly and annual closing under JGAAP and IFRS

• Manage AR, AP, fixed assets, cost accounting, and payroll related accounting

• Oversee cash flow, banking relationships, and intercompany settlements including transfer pricing

You will handle accounts payable, monthly, quarterly, and annual closing, tax documentation, fixed asset management, and system related changes while contributing to cost control and process efficiency.

• Process and verify expense reimbursements and payment requests, execute bank transfers

• Check data accuracy from an internal control perspective and correct errors

• Prepare and reconcile journal entries

• Record and process withholding and consumption taxes
